Two new case studies have been announced for smileexpo on May 21st: Kingfisher and Lloyds Banking Group.

Join Marc Wright – Publisher of simply-communicate – to explore the current state of internal communications and the digital workplace with a keynote interview with Microsoft’s Angela Evans, Office Business Group Lead for the UK.

Anita Walker, Internal Comms Manager at Microsoft

“80% of our members are moving to O365 in the cloud this year so we are putting Microsoft at the top of our agenda. Angela will be our keynote speaker alongside Microsoft’s own Internal Communications Manager, Anita Walker.

I am looking forward to finding out how Microsoft drink their own champagne using Teams, SharePoint and Yammer.”

Also in this session will be a real life case study from Kingfisher, the international home improvement company with nearly 1,300 stores in 10 countries across Europe, Russia and Turkey, supported by a team of 78,000 colleagues.

Jim Black, Head of Internal Communications at Lloyds Banking Group

Interested in the deployment of employee apps? We have Jim Black, Head of Internal Communications at Lloyds Banking Group who has just implemented the SocialChorus app across the retail bank. Called Move (because it is designed to be consumed on the move) it was launched at the same time as the Bank’s new corporate strategy.

The intranet had become quite long in the tooth and was lagging behind the Bank’s external technology, particularly its banking app which is one of the best in class.

Lloyds have also deployed Jive as a working collaboration tool, but what was missing from the mix was a publishing platform that could reach the large number of the non-desk based staff in the branch network. Three months in and 10.000 are already using Move.

The new strategy was launched with a large event in the Midlands followed by a roadshow, which reached a third of all staff with presentations from the ExCo members. Move now reinforces key messages on a daily basis with messages and news.
