A two-day event for internal communications professionals

This November, simply is bringing you two days of IC expertise, exploring a range of topics and celebrating our return to face-to-face events.

simplySUMMIT will delve into leadership, policy and change, looking at our future in comms and equipping us for success in the new landscape. simplyEXP will look at employee experience, tech and how these both have evolved post-pandemic, and how we can implement them better in our workplaces.

Both days start at 9am, with exhibition and networking until 10am, where our sessions begin, and finish at 5:30pm.

Closing Keynote: Hannah Awonuga

Hannah Awonuga has been working in financial services since the age of 17. As well as her day job as Global Head of Colleague Engagement, Group Diversity and Inclusion at a major multi-national bank, she also advises businesses on representation as the Founder of Rarity London. 

Hannah will discuss the growing use of Employee Resource Groups and how they can drive the D&I agenda in your organisation, and how by focusing on socio-economic backgrounds and factors within your team can in turn help with other areas of representation within diversity and inclusion. She’ll also discuss the ‘gratitude complex’ and how that has actually helped her in her drive to succeed.

Going “Backstage” with Dr.Martens

“I never wanted to call it an intranet. I wanted technology that enhances our experience. We have a beautiful consumer experience that is two-way, that is multi-channel, multimedia, that really takes our consumers on a journey. Why could we not have that for our own employees?”

So she created Backstage, a personalised digital workplace and associated this new platform with the performing arts.

Jayde Adams closes our conference with a fantastically funny performance. A regular on our screens, Jayde has been the host for shows on Channel 4 and has featured as a guest on shows such as  CelebAbility (ITV2), Richard Osman’s House Of Games, Strictly It Takes Two (BBC Two), Rosie Tries to Help, Roast BattleLive At The Comedy Store and The Chris Ramsey Show (Comedy Central).
