Slack revamps in-app searching

Since it’s launch in 2014, Slack has become the fastest growing business app in history. The workplace chat and collaboration platform is used by millions of people around the world.

One of Slack’s biggest drawbacks has been the poor internal search tools available but the company is rolling out a new update that aims to improve this. Slack has added new simple search filters that mean users no longer need to dig through endless threads to find one message or file.

The company has also added smarter and more personalised search results based on the people you communicate with most often, the files that may be more relevant, the channels that a user tends to participate in, and more.
